TURN AROUND, DON’T DROWN With rain and thunderstorms expected across our area this week, now is the time to slow down and stay alert. Heavy rainfall can quickly create dangerous conditions on roads, especially in low-water crossings and areas prone to flooding. Texas officials are urging residents to use extra caution as multiple rounds of storms move across the state.🚫 Never drive through flooded roadways.💧 Just 6 inches of moving water can knock an adult off their feet.🚗 Just 12 inches of moving water can carry away most vehicles.⚠️ You cannot tell how deep the water is or if the roadway beneath has been damaged. If you come across water covering the road, Turn Around, Don’t Drown. No destination is worth risking your life.Stay weather aware, allow extra travel time, and help keep yourself, your family, and first responders safe.#TurnAroundDontDrown #FloodSafety #WeatherAware #StaySafe See MoreSee Less
